A good year for the VWH, with the hounds shown well by Philip Hague and James Bradley. Credit must also go the puppy walkers of the VWH whose devotion to their charges enables some of them to go to the shows. However, it is their hunting ability that is more important.
The last time the VWH won a Peterborough championship was when VWH Earl Bathurst’s Salient 25 won the bitch championship in 1927 – 80 years ago! They also won it in 1905 with Damsel 02 and the doghound championship in 1903 with VWH Earl Bathurst’s Stentor 1903
